It's crazy how your life changes after the baby right? I remember how much I LOVED the fast paced lifestyle and how career driven I was before my baby. Now all I want to do is be with my baby and just hang out with him all day long.
Sometimes I dream of a very simple life. One where I don't have to worry about bills etc. Wouldn't that be awesome? Because really in this life all we need is love, happiness, a roof over our heads, family and food to keep our bellies full.
That's really it isn't it? Do these thoughts ever cross your head? Dreams of a simple life.

Is it Monday Already?
The weekend flew by. I attempted to rest and get as much sleep as I could because Mason's been waking up more frequently at night. Thank goodness my husband and I were able to take turns taking care of the baby last night because he decided that he would wake up at 3:30 AM and not go back to sleep.
Mason's still trying to get over the cold he has and is teething so I feel bad for the little guy. Shane and I got some much needed massages last night and it was sooooo nice. I definitely needed it. We're going to try to make it a once a month thing because we so deserve it. We've been slaving away at work and taking care of the baby.
Mason's been so well behaved when we take him to a new place. He loves checking out the scene. We also got to enjoy brunch as a family and lazily walked around the mall this weekend. Mason loved it.

It's Getting Cold Out There
This week has been extremely challenging. Being back at work for almost a month and I am on the brink of exhaustion. I stopped driving to work this week and actually started taking bart because the drive (with traffic and crazy SF drivers) was getting to be too much for me.
Mason caught a little cold and was waking up around 3:30 to 4:00 AM every single day and it took over an hour to get him back to sleep. By the time he fell asleep, I would have to get ready for work. So now on Saturday morning, my husband and I are exhausted and barely had the energy to eat our breakfast and trek over to Costco to stock up on food.
I am thankful that my little boy is feeling much better though. We even got to go out last week for a quick family dinner and Mason was able to try on Fall/Winter hats. I'm starting to feel the cold Fall air in San Francisco so we bought him a couple of hats to protect him from the weather.

What Having a Baby has made me Realize
Before Mason was born, I would work endless hours. I would spend time after work on my blackberry and just STRESS out about work. Now I really don't sweat the small stuff. I know how precious this time is with my baby so I spend as much time cuddling with my little one when I am home. I completely shut myself off from work. It's AMAZING how much Mason has taught me the minute he came into my life.
As I sit here and stare at his previous face, I know that my life has changed forever and I will never look back with regrets. I am so happy right now and completely BLISSED out on life. This motherhood thing is simply amazing.

Your Pictures
Mason,
I just want you to know that while I'm at work I stare at your pictures all day long. I miss you.

6 Month Appointment
Mason had his 6 month appointment last Friday and he did so well.
Here are his stats:
Height: 28 Inches (95% in his age group)
Weight: 17.5 lbs (50% in his age group)
His pedi said he is growing big and strong. He also received 2 shots, the Hep B and flu shot. He didn't cry for very long and was a happy baby right after. As for the next day, not so much but I'll take what I can get.
My husband, Mason and I went to have garlic noodles and crab after his appointment to celebrate.
The weekend went by in a breeze! We went to his gymboree play and learn class and his daddy joined us for the first time. There were tons of babies this time around.
We also had a birthday dinner for youngest brother Patrick and Mason got to play with his cousin Tristan. So cute.
Mason's also learning to play with his feet which he loves to do! I love my chubs.

Good Morning!
I am seriously so exhausted and am laying off caffeine so I don't know where to get my energy from except from my vitamins. Mason has been so good lately.
My mom says that he barely cried when she was taking care of him. I am so happy that he's finally adjusting to me being away from him for such a long time (approximately 10 hours a day).
I dropped him off at his grandma's (Shane's mom) house this morning and he was so well behaved. I miss my little guy so much while I'm at work. I can barely wait for the weekend. My younger brother is turning 25 this Saturday and I can't wait to celebrate it with him and the rest of the family.
Work has been extremely busy and I'm keeping up as much as I can. I can't wait until it quiets down in December (when recruiting season is over). At least Mason will have his first airplane ride with me when I go on one of my recruiting trips next month. How fun will that be? I'm kinda dreading it but am happy that my husband and mother in law will be with me so I'll have plenty of help. Plus we'll be in Portland and everything is tax free. I hope I get to do some shopping while I'm there. Have a great day! I'll be spending it trying to stay awake.

Waking Up an Hour Earlier
Does the 6 month mark for all babies mean they wake up an hour earlier than their usual wake time? My little cutie pie has been waking up at 4 AM for the past week and I've been putting him back to sleep and he gets up at 6 to 6:30 AM for the day.
Has this been happening to you other mommas? I hope it doesn't last long. I need my sleep. :)

Pics from Daddy While I'm at Work
Can I be any happier right now? It's the Friday before a 3 day weekend!
Mason turns 6 months on Monday and I earn my silver award! Woot - for those of you who don't know what the silver award is. There are apparently different types of "awards" you receive for the time you are breastfeeding your little one.
Bronze is for 3 months.
Silver is for 6 months.
Gold is for 1 Year.
Platinum is beyond a year.
I am going for GOLD! But I'm giving myself a PAT on the back for getting to silver.
Anyway I digress. Here are pics of my baby Mason that were sent to me while I was at work and his daddy was taking care of him.
Have a great weekend you beautiful mommas and hardworking daddies! Much love to you all.
