Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Thankful!

Today I am feeling EXTREMELY thankful for all my blessings this past year.

I am so thankful that I have a beautiful baby boy who has forever changed my life and family. He is seriously the best thing that's ever happened to me. Every.single.day I wake up with him next to me and I feel extremely happy, blessed and thankful. His little laughs just brighten up my day. When I get home from work EXHAUSTED, and I see his smiling face I completely forget about how tired I am.

I am thankful for my wonderful husband who works such a challenging night shift. We barely see each other except for the early evenings and weekends but I appreciate him for everything he is doing for our family.

I am thankful for my parents and especially my mother. When I was young, I remember how hard she worked. She worked tirelessly for our family. Day in and day out. She has a heart of gold. I truly admire her as a woman, mother, wife and grandmother. There should be more people like her in this world. She is the most amazing person I know. My father was always so strict when I was younger and now that I'm a parent I completely understand why. He wanted to protect us from all the "danger" in this world. I think if he could have put us (his 3 kids) in a bubble he would have. I'm thankful that I have such great parents.

I am thankful for my siblings. Honestly I am so lucky to have such great and wonderful brothers. They have always been there for me and I am so lucky!

I am thankful for my cute and adorable nephew Tristan and his awesome Momma Sheryll who is a wonderful sister in law. My brother is so lucky to have her and we are so blessed to have her join our family.

I am thankful for my brother Pat's girlfriend Jennifer who is so hardworking and kind. My brother is lucky to have her in his life.

I am thankful for my cousins, aunts and uncles!

I am thankful for my girlfriends who have always been there for me since we were young. I have the most amazing friendships with my small set of friends but they are the most loyal and down to earth girlfriends I could ever hope for.

Lastly I am thankful for my wonderful life. I feel so so blessed every single day and am so happy that I have so many people and things to be thankful for.

Teething Grrr....

My poor baby has been teething the past week and it SUCKS. He's been irritable and waking up more during the night. Thank goodness for Hyland's teething gel which seems to help soothe him a bit. But poor Mason's also been congested a bit during the past week and it's been hard to leave him so I can go to work.
He's still his happy, funny self though and loves to wake up singing and laughing.

I bought him some Boogie wipes this morning and I hope they help out. Thank goodness for my momma group! They are so helpful. I wouldn't have bought this if they didn't suggest it.

My husband sends me texts of Mason every single day I'm at work because I MISS him so much.

Here's a pic of Mason sleeping today. I love this baby so much. Like one of the moms in my momma group wrote, "It's like Christmas every morning I wake up next to my baby." I so agree.

Happy Veteran's Day!

Happy Veteran's Day to all those who serve and have served!

Today my husband took advantage of all the free meals that several businesses were offering to the Vets/Military personnel. We started off the day with breakfast at Denny's (which I haven't been to in YEARS until today) and then lunch at BJ's.

Mason had so much fun!

We even got to check out some books at Barnes & Noble in the kids section.

On the Hunt for Books

Do you moms know the best place to buy books for babies?

I am on the HUNT.
Mason has a few books but I am constantly on the hunt for new ones because he loves reading so much!

Yesterday, I went to the toy store during lunch and found a few books but none that peaked my interest and they were PRICEY. I am so not down to pay $10 for a book that is going to be thrown around etc.

Here's a few pics of Mason getting ready to read his Good Night Moon book which he LOVES. Anyway, if you moms know of a good place to purchase books for the best price, please let me know. Would love to get some new books for the little guy soon.

Picky Eater!

I think I have a picky eater on my hands. Ever since Mason's tried solids, he has hated it. I started him on rice cereal for the first time when he was almost 5 months and he made the most sour face then proceeded to cry.

Then I tried giving him Gerber and he was OK with it but never really loved it.
I've tried Plum organics, Earth's Best and he still hates it. Lol - I feel so bad for the little guy. All he does is make a sour face every time I try to give solids. Yesterday, I mashed up some bananas and he hated it. All he wants is milk and nothing else.

He's interested in the food I'm eating though but when I try handing it to him to taste, he proceeds to making his sour face. I need to catch it on camera so you all can see it. In the meantime, here's a pic of Mason from last night when we all went out for Mexican food and he was just chillen in his high chair playing with spoon and paper napkins.

Happy 8 Months Baby!

Happy 8 Months to Baby Mason on 11.5.11! The time is zipping by. I can't believe that in 4 months my little baby will turn a year old. In 2 weeks one of Mason's baby friends Matteo is turning ONE and we get to go to our very first baby birthday party as a family. Maybe I can get ideas from attending Matty's birthday party for Mason's big first birthday bash. I'm so excited.

Here's a pic of baby Mason on the day he turned 8 months. We just hung out at Gymboree with his cousins, enjoyed lunch with family and chilled out at home.

Then on Sunday my very best friends and I had a lovely brunch to top off the weekend. It was freezing in lovely San Francisco but the sun came out which was so nice! Plus we got the extra hour of sleep which was lovely. It's super dark earlier in the day but I don't mind it so much. I'll just try to get out during lunch so I can bask in some sunshine.

Cheers to the Weekend!

I am so happy. I definitely woke up on the right side of the bed this morning.
And it's Friday. Plus although I'm dreading it because it will get darker earlier, we gain one more hour this weekend.

Last Friday, when we were in Portland this is what I woke up to. I <3 my boys. Anyway, Happy Weekend to you all. I know I'll be busy working and spending some cuddle time with my baby who turns 8 months tomorrow! Where has the time gone?

Mason's First Halloween

Hey All! Sorry I haven't updated. Work has been extremely busy and we just returned from Portland and I've been trying to catch up on work, sleep and baby!
We had a great first Halloween. We relaxed early in the morning and then carved Mason's pumpkin. Then we did some trick or treatin' at the mall.
