Up All Night

Awwww...Mommas I tried to give Mason a little bit of Cows milk a week before his first birthday and he his poor little tummy didn't take it well at all. I'll spare you the details. He's been all night so I'm taking the day off to spend with him to make sure he's OK. I called his Dr. yesterday and she said to put him on the BRAT diet for the next few days and to completely STOP giving him cows milk until a month from now.

He's in very good spirits though despite him not feeling 100%.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi All. I hope you had a great Valentine's day. I am so tired from the festivities. I came home to a sweet box of chocolates, a card for Mason and I which were given to us by my husband! Soooo sweet. We went out for dinner at a restaurant close by and just relaxed after all of the events.

I am super tired this morning because my little Valentine Mason decided he wanted to wake up at 3:30 in the morning and play until 5 am. And unfortunately, I had to get to work for a very early 8 am meeting. yawnnnnn...

Baby Proofing...

So Baby Mason is getting into everything now. He wants to put his chubby little hands into electric sockets, wrap his hands around cords etc. so I went straight to Babies 'R Us last Friday in order to get ready for the baby proofing frenzy this weekend.

I have to follow little Mason everywhere because he wants to explore the big world around him. He's pulling up on everything, trying to open up the toilet seat, grabbing onto the table. Oh my gosh! It's like he grew into a little toddler over the past weekend. This little guy is just getting so big. I remember when he was a little baby how much I prayed that he would grow up fast because I wanted him to sleep through the night. Now that the time's here when he's sleeping well and bigger, I miss the days when I was able to hold him all day long. lol.

Anyway, I hope you moms are doing well. I've been busy at work and planning Mason's first birthday so I'll try to update as much as possible. Have a great week!

Happy 11 Months!

Ok - so I'm a couple of days late. But I want to wish my boy a Happy 11 Months!

He has changed my life for the better and I absolutely LOVE him. This morning I woke up with so much JOY because I got to see my sweet boy's smiling face when I woke up. He brought *happy* tears to my eyes this morning when I soaked up the joy and blessing of being a mother.

Mason is now pulling up on things, cruising, crawling all over the place, giving kisses, yells mama and dada, and is starting to eat table food (well at least for the last couple of days). Yay!

Food!

Hey all. Mason will turn one in approximately 4 weeks. It's so C-R-A-Z-Y to think that this little baby is going to be a year old. The time just zipped on by. I can't believe it. Anyway, he's still not into food as much as I would like to make him eat it. I even tricked him into trying ice cream and he HATED it. He made the sourest face ever and turned his head after I tried to offer it to him again. But like one of the moms I know mentioned, "You don't see any 18 year olds walking around with bottles, so he'll eat when he wants to". So I'm not too worried.

But since he's turning a year old soon and he can start drinking cows’ milk, I want to start getting him used to table food. I bought a bag of Butternut squash, carrots, broccoli, bananas etc. so we can try experimenting with table food. We'll see. I hope he likes at least some of the fruits/veggies/grains I give him. What are you moms/dads feeding your little ones?
